Well for starters my name is Andy and ever since my childhood i have been fascinated with these beautiful birds. I finally have the space and time to begin my peafowl collection so i'm pretty excited. I currently own a pair of Blackshoulders, 1 Java( I believe it to be a male) and 1 White( Also believe to be a male). My blackshoulder pair are about 2 years old so hopefully I'll see some peachicks next year. I'm currently looking to find more breeders of java's so i can find a pair or two. I've been a resident of good ole Louisiana all my life and i would never call any other place home. Laughing

Hi Neighbor and greetings from Abita Springs.

The people on this forum are super helpful and just recently helped me save my 6 month old white peacock from death's door.

I look forward to seeing more posts from you.

I used to live in Louisiana , in Jefferson parish on the westbank there is an plantation home called Tchopitoulas plantation that is now a private residence ,, the whole time i spent my summers near there ,, peacocks were on the levee and in the front yard under the oaks,, i'll never forget those days and thats why i have two now a blue and a pied chick,,and am purchasing more next week,,, miss the crawfish and the merlitons... up here in North Dakota cant get that let alone camelia brand red beans... have fun with your birds.
